Keith D. Murray

Founder, Chief Executive Officer and President


Keith D. Murray founded Hightide Settlement Services with the goal of providing responsive, client oriented title and settlement services that is led by quality-focused and experienced leadership from the title industry. Mr. Murray serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Hightide Settlement Services.

Mr. Murray is also the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and President of Vendor Resource Management, Inc., which is a nationwide provider of mortgage-related services and solutions that helps lenders, servicers, investors and government agencies become more compliant, reduce operational and reputational risk, decrease loss severity, and improve origination and servicing returns.

In addition, Mr. Murray founded Murcor, Inc. and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and President.

Mr. Murray has over 35 years of experience in real estate analysis, consultation and valuation, and is a California Licensed Real Estate Broker. Throughout his career, Mr. Murray has analyzed and supervised the analysis and valuation of various types of real property. He has worked extensively with numerous agencies including Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Resolution Trust Corporation, and HUD. In the private sector, Mr. Murray has provided services to a variety of insured financial institutions, insurance companies, pension funds, mortgage servicers, and asset managers.

Mr. Murray received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration/Finance from California State University, Northridge. He is active in a number of areas within his community and currently serves as Chairman of PCV | VRM Seeds of Hope.

Mr. Murray has over 35 years of experience in real estate analysis, consultation and valuation, and is a California State Licensed Real Estate Broker.

Dawn Castaneda

Vice President of Settlement Operations


In her role as Vice President of Settlement Operations, Mrs. Castaneda builds and manages a full-service national escrow division. Mrs. Castaneda’s responsibilities include creating workflow and procedures, as well as recruitment and training. She coordinates with the business support team to enhance the software applications to be utilized in the closing process.

Mrs. Castaneda brings with her 20 years of experience in the settlement industry. As an accomplished escrow officer, Ms. Castaneda has a solid background in traditional resale, REO, national refinance, short sales, and 1031 Exchange transactions. From her starting point as processor, her quick promotions led to her approval by the California Department of Corporations (now the Department of Business Oversight), to managing her own branch for a large and long established independent escrow company. Since then she has managed several branches for independent escrow companies and worked for two years in Utah as a licensed Escrow Officer. Her knowledge and long experience in the industry has made her an exceptional mentor and adviser. Dawn’s thorough and concentrated training has allowed her previous employees to become successful escrow officers and branch managers themselves.

Her experience led her to a National REO Title and Settlement service provider where she was able to apply her deep understanding of the settlement process, specifically with REO transactions. Once promoted to Director of REO, Dawn utilized those skills to manage a department of six teams, working with top clients such as Fannie Mae and Wells Fargo, for multiple states. Her implementation of streamlined processes enabled her teams to continually reach and exceed client goals.

As a consummate perfectionist, she understands that attention to detail is critical in this business, and relates to the needs of her internal and external clients. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fullerton, and attends yearly conferences for the California Escrow Association to maintain her command in the settlement industry.

Mrs. Castaneda has over 20 years of experience and is an accomplished escrow officer, with a background in traditional resale, REO, national refinance, short sales, and 1031 Exchange transactions.

Patrick Crehan

Director of Title Operations


Patrick Crehan serves as the Director of Title Operations at Hightide. In this position, Mr. Crehan is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations for all title services. In addition Mr. Crehan is managing and building Hightide’s title divisions.

Mr. Crehan will utilize his over 30 years’ experience in title and associated fields to hire and train staff, create and improve processes, procedures and workflows and work to continue the growth that has been started at Hightide.

Mr. Crehan began his career in title in 1983 at a large county title company and began as a customer service rep, over the next 30+ years his increasing knowledge of title, dedication to job, and continual incorporation of best practices allowed him to hold positions of growing responsibility including Asset Manager, Bank Trust Officer, Title Officer, and Operations Manager for the national default title services and Trustee Sale Guarantee divisions of one of the nation’s largest title companies. Patrick is passionate in his commitment to customer satisfaction and believes open communication is a key factor in a business partnership.

Mr. Crehan will utilize his over 30 years’ experience in title and associated fields to hire and train staff, create and improve processes, procedures and workflows and work to continue the growth that has been started at Hightide.

Jon Van Deuren, CPA, CGMA

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer


Jon D. Van Deuren is Hightide Settlement Services’ Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. His responsibilities include the management of its finance, accounting, treasury, planning and reporting functions. A member of the executive management team, Mr. Van Deuren brings 35 years of senior financial executive leadership experience to Hightide. His industry expertise with private companies and SEC registrants has contributed to successfully completing capital and debt offering, debt restructuring and other corporate transactions.

Prior to his current role at Hightide Settlement, he was a co-founder and partner of a professional services firm specializing in serving a broad spectrum of financial services companies across the U.S. He previously held corporate governance, board positions and senior financial executive leadership roles with two publicly traded companies. Mr. Van Deuren commenced his professional career with KPMG, LLP, where he advanced to the level of partner and specialized in serving financial institutions clients before entering the private sector.

Mr. Van Deuren earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business administration, with high honors, from California State University, Long Beach. Mr. Van Deuren is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He maintains active status as a Certified Public Accountant (California) and is a Certified Global Management Accountant (AICPA). Mr. Van Deuren is currently on the Board of Directors of PCV VRM Seeds of Hope and has served previously on the boards of two non-for-profit companies.

Mr. Van Deuren brings 35 years of senior financial executive leadership experience to Hightide.

Dawn Haghighi

General Counsel


As General Counsel, Ms. Haghighi is the principal company Legal Officer and provides oversight and leadership for the legal aspects of the business, including corporate affairs, strategic corporate initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and other complex transactions, litigation, privacy, governance and board activities, and sustainability efforts.

Prior to joining PCV Murcor, her legal career encompassed senior management positions at global institutions including Princess Cruise Lines, Ltd., Charter One Bank, NA, and Nordstrom, Inc. Ms. Haghighi is a frequent lecturer before professional organizations, trade associations, and boards. She is active in, and served on, the board of directors for a number of international, public policy, and not-for-profit organizations. She is the Vice Chair of the Association of Corporate Counsel (“ACC”) Financial Services Network and immediate past Chair of the ACC Real Estate Network.

Ms. Haghighi has received many professional awards including the ACC Outstanding Committee Member of the Year Award (2017), the ACC Advocacy Award (2017), the Los Angeles Business Journal Corporate Counsel Award (2012), the Alston & Bird Women of Distinction Award (2011), the Association of Media and Entertainment Honoree (2007), and the ACC Robert Townsend Member of the Year Award (2005). She is licensed in Illinois and California (Registered In-House Counsel).

Ms. Haghighi has received many professional awards including the ACC Outstanding Committee Member of the Year Award (2017)
